The vision is to bring back to life a medieval village, destroyed by an earthquake at the end of the 18th century.
Users with virtual reality have the opportunity to travel through time between epochs and cultures. They become firsthand witnesses to the most significant historical moments: from the foundation to the subsequent military conquests of Rocca degli Armeni, through the daily life of merchants and farmers, to the earthquake and the abandonment of the village.
Furthermore, through AR technology, a treasure hunt for hidden artifacts adds a playful spirit to the experience, actively involving the visitor in the historical journey.
To conclude, a set of permanent video mapping installations breathe new life into lost frescoes, making the night visit even more magical.
All of this was made possible thanks to a wonderful task force composed of historians, archaeologists, illustrators, developers, hardware technicians, modelers, and 3D animators.
